first_imgFORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The government is giving Peace River South BCSARA (B.C. Search and Rescue Association) $85,500 dollars as part of the Province’s $10 million in one-time funding commitments.The money will be used towards training, administrative support and equipment renewals.The South Peace Emergency Response Team, Tumbler Ridge Search and Rescue and Chetwynd Search and Rescue will be using this funding for technical search and rescue response training, personal protective equipment to ensure their members are safe, and other equipment that supports search and rescue operations.- Advertisement -Mike Bernier, MLA for Peace River South says this is important for those who help save peoples lives.“We are fortunate within B.C. to have such a dedicated group of individuals who make serving the safety of others their passion.
