first_imgAs someone who has spent the great majority of my career working for and with the channel, I get very excited discussing how Dell Technologies Design Solutions channel partners can add value to the unique needs of our OEM customers. We all know that no one person – however talented – can whistle a symphony. It takes a whole orchestra to perform it. In the same way, irrespective of company size, I believe that we all need an ecosystem of partners to bring additional intelligence and skills to the table.Solving challengesOur channel partners serve as a great extension to our team, helping us design and deliver the best possible solution for you. While each partner brings different expertise, there is one commonality across the board – we always work with experts we trust, who can help us to solve challenges, speed time to market, and acquire new business for OEMs.As a tier one infrastructure provider, we have, of course, deep knowledge of over 40 vertical industries coupled with massive supply chain and engineering expertise. However, our partners go even deeper in their vertical expertise, especially when it comes to integration. They can help us get into the nitty gritty to solve your customer challenges.Differentiating your solutionThis is particularly true today. We are seeing a major increase in complexity with the introduction and expansion of 5G, AI, remote working, the build-out of smart cities, and the sheer tsunami of connected, intelligent things. There are also new demands at a vertical level. The end result? The final mile – the last part of customization and solution development – has become increasingly important. This is both a challenge and an opportunity. Research shows that the more complex that last 20 percent of the solution is, the greater the differentiation you as an OEM enjoy in the market. In that last critical phase, we can help get you to market faster and differentiate your solution from the competition.Helping you growWorking with our channel partners, we can blend our processes to help you maximize your total addressable market, meeting your needs on both a regional and global level. For example, we understand it can be difficult to juggle everything simultaneously, managing materials and throughput lead times alongside deployment. As case in point, one of our OEM customers, who held just five percent of its total addressable market, was struggling to grow due to challenges with a recent acquisition. A channel partner was introduced to help consolidate processes and materials management globally. As a result, the customer became more competitive and agile, quickly doubling its business. Getting your solution to market fasterIn another example, one of our Fortune 500 customers needed help with custom software development as well as a simplified go-to-market and deployment process. Our channel partner not only created the custom software code, but also ensured it was optimized, tested and validated on our Dell Technologies platform.Importantly, our partner also worked with us to help the customer scale globally and get to market quickly. This included creating an end customer procurement portal plus providing finished goods inventory, global logistics, global support and technical support. In fact, the customer was so impressed with the combined power of Dell Technologies Design Solutions and our channel partner, that the full solution was never put out to bid. We’ve got you coveredOur channel partners work hand-in-hand with us to address unusual customer requests, streamline recertifications, build and test new proof of concepts, integrate third party components customize testing and manage shipping. In some cases, they carry the cost of inventory and serve as expert boots on the ground, supporting installation and deployment roll outs as well as providing special financing options. Are you ready for the symphony? Leverage our collective reach and services capabilities to tap into new markets and become more flexible and agile to win over your competition. first_img Press Association He added: “We all recognise the English game is the most honest in the world and has been for many years. At Norwich this season the energy their two wide players expended was phenomenal. They ran 100 miles. That’s an example of the Premier League. “And the Reading game, when it went to 3-2, I thought we were going to lose 30. There are a lot of games I’ve watched this season, when I’ve said to myself ‘are they trying?’ – of course they’re trying. “These teams have 3,000 fans following them away from home. There is no way they could come to Old Trafford and not do their best. That also applies itself to the Etihad, Stamford Bridge, the Emirates or Anfield. That is the nature of the English game.” Stoke are one of the sides who got their noses in front against United earlier in the season, only to eventually lose 4-2. That was at a better time for Tony Pulis’ men though as now they find themselves slithering dangerously close to the drop zone, having collected just six points from their last 13 matches. Stoke are now only three points in front of third-bottom Wigan, having played a game more, and last weekend were beaten on home soil by Aston Villa. The normally rock-solid home support has started to turn against Pulis, whose style of play has started to attract more intense criticism from those who pay to watch it. Still Ferguson anticipates a thorough examination. “It’s always a difficult place to go to,” he said. “Ask any manager or player, you know you have to perform to get a result there. You have to stand up to the mark because they do present a challenge.” Despite Manchester City’s victory at Old Trafford on Monday, the Blues still trail their rivals by 12 points in the Premier League title race. The likelihood is that gap will get even wider this weekend, when United head to Stoke as City are engaged in FA Cup combat. Last week, City boss Mancini claimed one of the reasons why United have such a formidable advantage is that their opponents play with fear against them and believes they cannot win, but Ferguson said: “That’s absolute nonsense. He was maybe looking for a bit of self-sympathy or something like that.” center_img Sir Alex Ferguson has blasted back at Roberto Mancini’s claims Manchester United have it easy and accused the Italian of looking for “self-sympathy”.last_img read more

first_imgIndia’s Test captain Virat Kohli notched up yet another hundred on Thursday to put India in a commanding position in the ongoing second Test against England at Vizag. Kohli scored his 14th Test ton in his 50th match to go with the 12 half-centuries. (Vizag Test: Virat Kohli nears rare milestone, could become first Indian to score three double-hundreds in a year)Opting to bat first, India lost openers Lokesh Rahul and Murali Vijay very early and were reduced to 22/2 when Kohli came to the crease and joined forces with Cheteshwar Pujara to bail the hosts out of trouble. The duo then added 226 runs for the third-wicket with Pujara also scoring a ton along with his skipper. Both reached triple figures in the final session of play on Day 1. (Virat Kohli in his 50th Test: His key landmarks so far)Pujara went back to the pavillion for 119 but Kohli carried on and led the team to 317/4 at the close of play. He was eventually dismissed on 167 by Moeen Ali in the first session on day 2. Kohli’s seventh century in just his 19th match as captain saw him draw level with Sachin Tendulkar to be third on the list of most hundreds by Indian Test skippers. Mohammad Azharuddin (9) and Sunil Gavaskar (11) are ahead of Kohli at the moment. But rate at which Kohli keeps on breaking record after record, it won’t take him long to surpass these legends. He became the only Indian captain to score two double hundreds with a highest score of 211 which came against New Zealand in the third Test at Indore last month. Kohli has a hundred per cent conversion rate this year and with three more matches to go, he is on track to amass 1000 runs in Test cricket for the first time in a calendar year.
