RAM Signs Partnership With Qatar Airways

Rabat – Royal Air Maroc and Qatar Airways signed on Wednesday a strategic commercial partnership agreement in Dubai, aviation website aeronautique.ma reported. The partnership was signed by Royal Air Maroc President Driss Benhima and Qatar Airways boss Akbar Al Baker on the sidelines of the 22nd edition of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), the region’s leading travel industry showcase.Under the agreement, Royal Air Maroc will launch a regular route connecting Casablanca to Doha with three frequencies a week. The new route will operate using Boeing 787 Dreamliner recently purchased by the Moroccan national carrier. Both companies will offer 10 flights a week between Doha and Casablanca. “This partnership which strengthens the relationships between Qatar and Morocco will offer many advantages to customers of Qatar Airways who travel to Casablanca and African destinations,” said Qatar Airways boss Akbar Al Baker, adding that “this is good news for passengers including businessmen who travel to Africa as well as for tourists.”On the occasion RAM president Driss Benhima said “the Moroccan company is pleased to conclude this historic partnership that consolidates fraternal relations between the two countries.”“This agreement is a crucial phase in the history of the Royal Air Maroc since it allows the setting up of a bridge between Asia and Africa that will facilitate the movement of customers in the best conditions due to the extensive network of Qatar Airways in Asia and the dense network of Royal Air Maroc in Africa,” Benhima added.
